Astros Make Roster Moves

HOUSTON, TX — Astros General Manager Jeff Luhnow announced the following roster moves this morning: IF Delino DeShields, OF Jake Goebbert, OF Marc Krauss, OF George Springer and C Chris Wallace have been reassigned to minor league camp; LHP Rudy Owens and RHP Sam Demel have been optioned to minor league camp.

The five players that were reassigned were in Major League camp as non-roster invitees. The two optioned players are on the Astros 40-man roster.

Minor league Spring Training games begin on Thursday, March 14. With today’s moves, the Astros now have 54 players remaining in Major League camp.
