BRYAN, Texas -- The BVCHEA (Brazos Valley Christian Homeschool Educators Association) Mustangs beat the CHSA Wolverines (a Houston home school group) 66 to 50 to win the Division II Boys Varsity Championship at the National Christian Home School Basketball Championship in Springfield, Missouri, on Saturday.
John Hale lead the Mustangs with 27 points, while Benjamin Ham tossed in 14, and point guard Caleb Postma added 9 points and 8 assists. Other team members on the team included Jonathan Thomas, Christian Dye, Brandon Ham, Benjamin Linder and Aaron Dowell.
At the Championship tournament season awards, BVCHEA's John Hale was named an All American given to the top 25 home school players in the country and Caleb Postma named an All State honoree, given to the top 25 players in Texas.
