OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Baylor routed Kansas State 11-2 in the Big 12 baseball tournament to advance to play Oklahoma and eliminate Kansas State.
Top-seeded Baylor (44-13) scored twice in both the first and second innings and got strong pitching from starter Tyler Bremer (6-1) who gave up just two runs in eight innings for the win Friday.
K-State starter Robert Youngdahl (2-2) gave up four runs - two earned - in 1 2-3 innings and took the loss.
Big 12 player of the year Josh Ludy hit a two-run homer during a four-run eighth as Baylor broke the game open.
OU beat Baylor 3-2 Thursday and the two teams play again Saturday morning. An OU win eliminates Baylor while a Baylor win would force an elimination game between the two teams Saturday afternoon.
