IRVING, Texas (AP) - The Dallas Cowboys ran for more yards than anybody has against the Baltimore Ravens.
They held the ball for 40 minutes and had 30 first downs.
And that wasn't enough to get a win because of how the Cowboys botched the final seconds after recovering an onside kick.
After reviewing the 31-29 loss, coach Jason Garrett said Monday that the team has to do a better job of executing and getting more out of that situation.
The Cowboys (2-3) were at the Ravens 34 with 26 seconds to go and had a timeout left. From there they managed only a 1-yard pass before Dan Bailey missed a 51-yard field goal attempt.
Garrett took some blame for the play he called. Two receivers had vertical routes and didn't get back to the line quickly enough.
