Brazos Valley Bowl announces launch of new website
Inaugural contest set for Dec. 1 at Kyle Field

The Brazos Valley Bowl presented by Blinn College has announced the launch of a new website designed to provide fans and sponsors information about the game and its surrounding festivities as the bowl approaches its inaugural contest.
The site, www.brazosvalleybowl.com, incorporates the new logo designed by Blinn’s marketing & media relations department. It features the latest bowl news and announcements as well as information for visitors who will come to Bryan/College Station to take part in the game and its accompanying events. The site also includes bowl committee contact information.
According to an estimate by the Bryan-College Station Convention and Visitors Bureau, the event could bring $1 million in economic activity to the community as visitors shop, stay in hotels and eat at restaurants over the course of the bowl weekend.
The game, which will be played at noon on Dec. 1, will give fans the opportunity to see two of the top junior college football teams in the nation compete at Kyle Field, the largest venue in the nation for a junior college bowl game. The Brazos Valley Bowl was the result of Blinn partnering with community leaders to boost economic activity in the region during the historically sluggish month of December. Initial funding for the bowl game was provided by the City of College Station through Hotel Occupancy Tax funds.
The game furthers Blinn’s mission to benefit its host communities while informing thousands of potential students of the advantages two-year colleges provide through affordable academic and technical programs. Proceeds from the bowl will be distributed as new scholarships.
