Bryan, TX In the heart of baseball and softball post-season, you can find talent on nearly every ball field in the Brazos Valley. Several games took place in the BCS Tuesday Night, including two district title games.
Senior Minor Softball
Bryan Harvey stays alive with a 19-3 win over Bryan United. Bryan National shuts out Madisonville 10-0 to remain undefeated in the winners bracket. Harvey will take on Madisonville for a chance to contend for the championship against worthy opponent, Bryan National on Wednesday at 7 p.m..
Bryan United rings Harvey's bell with a 15-5 win over the host team Tuesday night. Harvey will face Robertson County at 7 p.m. Wednesday night in hopes of a rematch with United on Friday. Robertson County eliminated Madisonville 11-5 Tuesday, and is looking to carry that momentum into tonight's game.
Bryan United shows no mercy as they steamroll Madisonville 16-0 for the District Title Tuesday night. United will host the sectional tournament for District 33, District 30, and District 13 starting July 12th.
Senior Minor Baseball
Bryan United claims it's second title of the night with a win over Bryan Harvey on Tuesday. United went undefeated throughout the district tournament, and ended with a 15-12 victory. United will go on to the sectionals tournament in Pflugerville, TX on July 12th.
Bryan Harvey and Bryan National dueled in a do or die match-up Tuesday night. Harvey defeated National in the opening game of the tournament, leaving National craving a rematch. National fought out of the loser's bracket and met their match, when they played Harvey for the second time.
Harvey's bats cranked seven home-runs on the night, with the top half of the order scoring a combined 14 runs. National's amazing defensive skills contained the damage with double plays and big plays at the dish. Offensively, National had double digits in the hit column with a homer and several doubles, but couldn't bring home the win. Harvey will face College Station Wednesday at 7 for a second time, to force an "if" game Friday night for the title.
Bryan National and Franklin battled Tuesday night at Bryan United to have a chance at the title Wednesday night at 6 p.m. Franklin's early lead dissipated when National's bats got hot late in the game. National defeated Franklin 12-9 to play in the championship.
