BRYAN, TX -- The Brazos Valley Bombers will open its 2012 Texas Collegiate League baseball season against the Woodlands Strykers Saturday June 2nd in The Woodlands.

The Bombers are excited to get the upcoming season underway. The team will be under the direction of first year head coach Curt Dixon.

Dixon, who coached at Eastern Oklahoma State this past season, couldn't help but bring some old faces from the Moutaineer squad with him.

Pitchers Luis DeJesus, Mason Justice, and Logan Taylor along with catcher Kevin Lamb.

The Bombers will open the home portion of its season on Wednesday June 6th at the newly named American Momentum Bank Ballpark against the Acadiana Cane Cutters.

Texas A&M baseball fans, who will be missing Aggies this summer, won't have to travel far to see some of their favorites in action. Junior Brandon Wood, along with Sophomores Rafael Pineda and Nathan Sorenson will help bolster a Bomber squad that is eager to bring a TCL championship home to the Brazos Valley.
