BREMOND, TX -- After opening the 2012 season with a 23-20 win over Moody last week, Bremond improved to 2-0 on the young season following a 16-0 win over Leon Friday night at Tiger Stadium. The Cougars had several chances in the first half to put points on the board, but couldn't convert. Harrison Hull leading the Bremond defense with a couple of big stops.
With the game scoreless and 4 minutes left in the first half, Bremond quarterback Cade Grych broke loose up the middle on a 41 yard scoring jaunt to give Bremond a 7-0 lead. The Tigers added a field goal with :06 seconds left in the first half and take a 9-0 halftime lead.
Bremond will add a touchdown in the second half and go onto post a 16-0 win.
Bremond (2-0) will travel to Granger next Friday as they look to remain perfect on the year. Leon (1-1) will make the short drive over to Buffalo to take on the Bison in what had been a key district game over the past several years in Class 2A.
