MISSOURI CITY, Texas -- Santa Fe inches past Bryan 4-3, and Bryan tops Ft. Bend Kempner 5-4 in the Sienna Round Robin.

Santa Fe scratched one more run but also had one more error than the Lady Vikes. Pitching was stout through three innings leaving the game scoreless until Santa Fe grabbed two in the bottom half of the fourth.

Brianna Salinas and Audriana Andrade were the battery against Santa Fe and Salinas received the loss. Ally Bessette went 1 for 3 at the plate with a solo homerun, a run, and an RBI. Courtney Meier went 1 for 3 on the game as well, with a run and an RBI.

Bryan scored early and often against Ft. Bend Kempner. With a final score of 5-4, the Lady Vikings forced Kempner's defense to make errors and capitalized on those mistakes.

Rebecca Peirce (6-4) was in the circle for Bryan and added a W to her record.

Taylor Curtis, who went 1 for 3 on the night, came up clutch in the sixth as she knocks a double with two outs. The Curtis double brought Desiray Sauseda to the dish, and Sauseda singles to right-center to score Curtis for the game-winning run. Erica Russell went 2 for 3 with a run and an RBI, and Courtney Meier went 3 for 3.

The Lady Vikes are now 9-7 on the season. Friday the round robin continues as Bryan will take on Clear Falls at noon and at 2 p.m. the Vikings will face #15 in the state, Flower Mound.
