BRYAN -- The Bryan football team will face The Woodlands Friday night at Woodforest Bank Stadium in Shenandoah. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:30pm.
Bryan enters the game 1-3 in district 14-5A play. The Highlanders are tied for second place in the district standing with Lufkin at 2-1.
Bryan is coming off a 47-7 loss to Lufkin. That pushed the Vikings' losing streak to three games. Bryan head coach Ross Rogers said his team has not played well the last two weeks. "I think we are a better team than what we have shown." Rogers added "that being said we are facing an awful good opponent who has talent at all the positions. They have a good offensive and defensive line where a lot of it starts so we have to play better than we have played. Whether that is possible or not I don't know we will see."
Bryan will have an open date after facing The Woodlands. The Vikings will close out the regular season November 9 against College Park at Merrill Green Stadium.
