Bryan Baseball Wins Playoff Opener Over Mesquite Horn 10-1

BRYAN, TX -- The Bryan Viking baseball team won game 1 of its best of 3 Bi-District playoff series against Mesquite Horn with a 10 - 1 win. The series now switches to Tillery Field in Mesquite on Saturday. Game 2 will be at 1:30 with possible game 3 to follow 30 minutes after the conclusion of game 2.

Travis Gibson picked up the win striking out 8 through 6 innings of work. Bryan broke a scoreless tie in the 3rd on Chandler Russell's triple to center driving in Austin Gallego from first. Horn answered in the 4th to tie the game at 1, but Bryan would score 9 unanswered to game one 10-1.
