Cameron vs Daingerfield Class 2A Division 1 State Championship Part II

By  |

BRYAN, TX -- Daingerfield knocked off Cameron Yoe 33-27 in 2010 to Claim the Class 2A Division I state football championship. Depending on who you ask, that was expected. Friday the shoe is on the other foot with the Yoemen expected to beat the Tigers and claim the Class 2A state title.

Cameron Head Football Coach Rick Rhodes, doesn't see his team as a huge favorite, despite being undefeated, he feels it will take a huge effort to knock off a Daingerfield team that has won 3 of the last 4 state championships.

"It is very similar us playing Daingerfield is kinda ironic," said Rhodes. "Who would have ever thought that might have happened. They are a good football team just like they were in 2010 and we're going to have to prepare very, very well to have a chance to beat them."

Kickoff is set for noon on Friday from Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. The game will be televised live on Fox Sports Net Southwest.
