BRYAN, Texas -- The College Station Lady Cougars defeated the Rudder Rangers in soccer tonight 3-2 at Rudder. The Rangers went up 1-0 in the first half on an indirect kick. Midway through the second period Cougar Courtney McGrew won a ball from a deflection and scored from just outside the 18. The Rangers fired back with a strong counterattack by Lexy Serna and made the score 2-1 Rudder with 15 minutes left in the match. With 4:29 left in regulation McGrew again gathered a deflected ball and shot a curving ball just outside the Rudder keeper's reach. Both teams battled hard during the double overtime period.
