College Station Cougars Make It Back To Back Wins After 49-6 Victory

COLLEGE STATION, TX -- The College Station Cougars have won back to back games for the first time in program history after a 49-6 win over the Caldwell JV Thursday at Cougar Stadium.

College Station (3-4) put up 35 points in the first quarter scoring on their first three offensive drives and posting a pair of defensive scores.

Travis Paul Tate gets the scoring started for the Cougars with a 46 yard touchdown run around the right side for a 7-0 lead.

The next time the Cougars get the football they will increase their advantage. Rajah Malik Darnell Preciado takes it in from 24 yards for a 14-0 lead.

The Purple and Black defense will then get in on the scoring act. Nicholas Volger Kennedy will pick off a pass and return it 24 yards for touchdown and a 21-0 advantage.

Preciado then scoops up a Caldwell fumble and takes it back 29 yards for a 28 nothing lead.

The Cougars will put up 35 points in the first quarter. Macgregor Hines with a 50 yard touchdown pass to Drake Cameron Carnes increases the College Station lead to 35-0.

In the 2nd quarter Steve Huff and the Cougars will cash in twice. Rajah Malik Darnell Preciado will score for the 3rd time on the night. His second offensive score will come from 12 yards out for a 42-0 lead.

Conner Russell will close out the first half scoring for College Station on a rushing touchdown from 29 yards for a 49-0 halftime lead.

The Caldwell JV will avoid the shutout with a touchdown in the 2nd half, but College Station prevails 49-6 for their second straight win.

College Station will try to make it three in a row next Friday October 19th against another Woodlands JV (Green) team. Their first win in program history came against the Woodlands JV (white) team. Kickoff is set for 7:30pm next Friday at Cougar Stadium.
