College Station Cougars Post 6-1 Win Over Brookshire Royal

BROOKSHIRE ROYAL, Texas -- The College Station Lady Cougars defeated the Brookshire Royal Lady Falcons 6-1 Friday night in Brookshire. Steele Fancher scored nine minutes into the game when she finished off a corner kick from Emily Guerrieri.

Just before the half, Jj Handy ran onto a nice ball played
by Courtney McGrew and beat the Royal goalkeeper to the far post. The Cougs scored four goals in the first twenty minutes of the second half to take a 6-0 lead.

The goals were scored by Handy, Haley Wagner,
Fancher, and Alexis Bullard. Assists were recorded by Bullard and
Maddie Jenkins.

With the win, the Cougs improved to 4-0 in district
and 13-5-1 overall. Brenham will come to College Station on Tuesday
in a match up between two undefeated district opponents. Gametime is
6pm at Cougar Field.
