College Station Rallies to Beat Rudder In Crosstown Volleyball Showdown

COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- The College Station Lady Cougar Volleyball team rallied to beat Rudder in five sets Tuesday evening at Cougar Gym (23-25, 22-25m 25-19,25-21,15-13).

Sarah Hancock led College Station with 17 kills, while Brady Gillum had 27 digs, Haley Wagner dished out 51 assist, while Mary Pettibon had 3 blocks.

College Station (2-7) will travel to Magnolia on Thursday to play in the Lady Bulldog volleyball tournament. They will face New Caney in their tournament opener.

Lindsey Mitchell lead Rudder with 15 kills, 12 digs; Brianna Suber 11 kills, Allison Vaughan 8 kills, 25 assists, 17 digs; Hannah Sparks 22 assists, 18 digs; Madison Smith 2 aces, 26 digs; Ariana Ramirez 2 aces, 18 digs.

Rudder will head to Navasota on Friday for the "Pence Bowl" as Lady Rattler Head Coach Kallie Pence, faces her mom Jacky Pence.
