College Station Sweeps 18-3A Cross Country District Titles

COOKS POINT, TX -- The College Station Cougars swept the boys' and girls' District 18-3A Cross Country Championships Wednesday morning at the T-3 Training Camp.

Kelsey Warren won the individual girls' district crown with a time of 11:51. The Cougars posted almost a perfect finish as Leah Lewis came in 3rd with a time of 12:45. College Station also captured 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 9th place resulting in the school's first outright team district championship. Taylor came in 2nd place in the girls' team race with Caldwell 3rd.

College Station was almost as dominating on the boys' side. While Rockdale's Juan Rubio won the individual district championship with a time of 17:50, the Cougars finished 2nd as Logan Meyer recorded a time of 17:56. Jonathan Bishop came in 3rd with a time of 18:09. The Cougars also captured 5th, 7th, and 8th place on their way to claiming the title.

Taylor came in 2nd in the boys' team race with Caldwell claiming 3rd.

The College Station Cougar Cross Country Teams advance to the Region III Championships on November 3rd hosted by Atascosita High School in Humble. The State Cross Country meet will be November 10th in Round Rock.
