SEALY, Texas -- The College Station Lady Cougars defeated the Sealy Tigers Friday night 2-1 in overtime in Sealy. Sealy scored one minute into the match when they scored off a poor clearance by the Cougar defense. With fifteen minutes left in the first half Courtney McGrew played a nice ball over the top of the Sealy defense that Kinsey Rhome ran on to before beating the Sealy goalkeeper with a shot from just outside the 18, Seven minutes into the first overtime Steele Fancher flicked a ball to Lauren Spohn who beat a Sealy defender just inside the 18 before sending a cross to the far post that found the foot of Rhome for the winning goal. The Cougars go into Spring Break 8-0 in district and 17-5-1 overall. Next action is March 19 at College Station High against Brookshire Royal.
