College Station girls soccer wins district opener over Navasota

COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- The College Station Lady Cougars opened district play tonight by defeating Navasota 6-1 at Cougar Stadium.

Only 4:00 minutes into the game Emily Guerrieri crossed a ball into the box to Lexi Bullard who laid it off to Jaylen Hinckley to for the first goal of the match. The second goal of the game was scored by Emily Guerrieri on a nice left footed shot from just outside the 18. Kinsey Rhome had a hat trick plus one in the second half. Lauren Spohn, Jaylen Hinckley, and Lexi Bullard all had assists in the second half for the Cougs. The Cougars record now stands at 10-5-1 on the year and 1-0 in district play. The Cougs will be at home this Friday to take on the Rudder at 7:00.
