College Station soccer teams drops opener at Brazos Cup

The College Station Lady Cougars dropped their first match of the Brazos Cup today 3-0 against Katy at SFA. The Big Red scored first about 15 minutes into the match when they split the Cougar defense with a nice through ball. The Cougs regrouped and stiffened the defense, holding the score at 0-1 through halftime.

Fifteen minutes into the second half, Katy scored again off a corner kick. The final goal came with about ten minutes left in the match on a follow shot from the left side. Despite the loss, the Cougars played hard and showed tremendous heart.

College Station (7-3) plays at 3pm Friday at SFA against the loser of the Dickinson-Tomball match.
