Cougars Looking To Close Out Inaugural Season With Win Thursday

BRYAN, TX -- The College Station Cougars will take to the field for their final game of the 2012 season Thursday night at 7pm as they host the Wharton JV.

The Purple and Black have come a long way this season and it's hard to believe their first season will end in 24 hours.

"No doubt it's come quickly we talked about it as coaches yesterday and with the kids this morning," said College Station Head Coach Steve Huff.

"Early in the year I talked a little bit with the kids about. It's like a trip to Disney Land. It takes a lot of time to get there but we've made that trip. One of the kids said we've made it. Ten weeks, our season has been long for some of our younger kids, but as coaches we feel like we're just kinda hitting our stride. We wish it wasn't over but ready to go into off season where we will work there also."

If College Station could pick up a win over the Wharton JV they would close out their first season ever on a 5 game winning streak. Kickoff is set for 7pm Thursday evening at Cougar Field.
