Crosstown Showdown Soccer Results In A Boys Tie While The Lady Tigers Prevail 4-Nil

COLLEGE STATION, TX -- It was crosstown showdown time on the soccer pitch Friday night with the A&M Consolidated boys hosting Bryan, while the girls teams played over in Bryan.

The Tiger boys fell behind in the first half after an Arnoldo Garcia goal, but Consol will battle back, Yanni Georghiades with a center passing shot that a sliding Daniel Zivney puts in the net to knot things up at 1.

The game finishes regulation tied at 1 and heads to overtime. While neither team scored in the first overtime period, both find the net in the second OT. Bryan scores first to take a 2-1 lead, but Consol will answer with 11 seconds left. Tiger team captain Kolby Graff scores off a rebound off a corner kick resulting in a 2-2 double overtime tie.

Meanwhile the A&M Consolidated girls soccer team defeated Bryan 4-0 at Merrill Green stadium. Just over a minute into the game, Carolina Orsi's shot was deflected off a Bryan defender into the net. Then, with about 5 minutes left in the half, Maddie Wilke played a corner kick to the back post where Mycah Miller dropped it back to Kalli Krivdo who scored from the 18.

Six minutes into the second half, Miller touched a ball around a Bryan defender to score high in the back of the net. Consol scored once more with about 3 minutes remaining on another Wilke corner kick when Megan Kriger played a ball to Katelyn Armatys who deflected a ball in the goal.

Christina Salas and Clare McDougall shared Consol's 10th shutout on the year. Consol moves to 8-3-3, 3-0. The Tigers will travel to Shoemaker on Tuesday for games at 5, 6:30, and 8.
