Bryan, TX Tonight is the night for remaining teams in District 33 playoff games to force an "if" game or bring home the title. The remaining age groups left to claim championships are Senior Minor girls, Major girls, and Major boys.
The Junior League boys title was won by Bryan United Wednesday night. United run-ruled Bryan National 12-1 and will be heading to sectionals. Their sectionals tournament will begin July 12th at Fireman's park in Brenham, TX to play teams from Districts 10, 13, and 30.
The two teams still standing in the Senior Minor girls bracket are Bryan National and Bryan Harvey. National defeated Harvey in game 1 of the tourney to force Harvey to dig themselves out of the losers bracket. A Harvey win forces an "if"game Saturday at 7, but a win by undefeated National will seal National's spot in the next round of play and send Harvey home.
Likewise, the remaining teams for the Major girls bracket are Bryan United and Harvey. United sent Harvey into the losers bracket after United run-ruled Harvey on Tuesday. Bryan United must win tonight to secure their spot in sectionals play, or Harvey will even the playing field at a loss a piece for the championship game Saturday night.
Both of these games will take place at Harvey Weedon Ball Park Friday at 7 p.m.
The Major boys title will be won tonight by either College Station or Bryan Harvey. Harvey defeated College Station Wednesday night 11-6, continuing their high power offensive streak, to force a final game Friday at 7 p.m.
