Fairfield Ends Navasota's Playoff Run Following 52-41 Decision In Round Two

HEARNE, Texas -- The Fairfield (34-4) girls basketball team ended Navasota's season Friday night following a 52-41 2nd round playoff win at Eagles Gym.

Fairfield would lead by 8 in the 3rd quarter, but Navasota would rally to cut it to one on Kalandrea Jefferson's 3 pointer 39-38.

That would be as close a Rattlers would be to knocking off the 2nd ranked Eagles. Bree Bossier would score all six of her points in the 2nd half to help Fairfield advance to the Regional Quarterfinals next week. Jasmine Griffin lead Fairfield with 12 points while Gabby Ransom would add 11.

Navasota's Alexus Freeman lead all scorers with 23 points.

Navasota finishes the 2012-2013 season with an overall record of 35-4.
