IRVING, TX -- An array of activities and events will be added to the 2012 Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship, which comes to Oklahoma City’s Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark Wednesday, May 23 to Sunday, May 27. This year will welcome an inaugural 5k race as well as a fan fest outside the ballpark.
The race is set for 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 26, with the start and finish line at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
Runners will receive a free ticket to the Saturday morning session of the Championship with the overall male and female winner earning a free year of gas courtesy of Phillips 66. In addition, each male and female age group winner will be awarded with gas cards.
Online registration is currently open, however, runners can also register on race day beginning at 6:30 a.m. Pre-registration is $25, while on-site registration will be $30.
Phillips 66 will also present Big 12 Baseball Gameday - an interactive experience for all ages. The fan fest will feature a full size batting cage for both children and adults, four sets of corn hole boards, a live pitching simulator where fans can test the speed on their fastball and a photo booth.
All-session tickets for the event are available from $87 for terrace reserved to $117 for box seating to $202 for club-level seats. A limited number of weekend passes are also available starting at $67. Single-game tickets will be on sale beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 21.
