HOUSTON --- Four members of the Texas A&M men's and women's diving teams will be seeking a spot at the national championship meet when they compete at the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships Monday through Wednesday at the Unviersity of Houston.

Competing at the Zone D qualifier will be senior Rebecca St. Germain and junior Jessica Macaulay from the women’s squad and junior Adam Ruiz and sophomore Ford McLiney from the men’s team. The competition begins Monday at 11 a.m. with the men's 1M competition and the women's 3M event following at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday's action starts with the women's 1M at 11 a.m. followed by the men's 3M at 5:30 p.m. The Zone Meet concludes on Wednesday with the platform finale - the women begin at 11 a.m. with the men's competition following at 2:45 p.m.

Three of the four Aggie divers posted runner-up finishes at the Southeastern Conference Championship two weeks ago. St. Germain was second in the women’s one-meter dive and seventh in the three-meter. Macauley took second in the women’s platform dive. McLiney tied for second in the men’s platform and also placed sixth in the one-meter and ninth in the three-meter.

Several Aggie men’s swimmers were seeking to improve their chances of advancing to the NCAA Championships at the American Short Course Championships over the weekend in Austin, Texas. Most notable was junior Omar Enriquez, who broke his own school record in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 15:03.38 (old record was 15:06.23 in 2011). Not improving their season best but winning were junior Paul-Marc Schweitzer in the 200 freestyle (1:36.04) and junior Simon Frank in the 400 IM (3:47.44).
