AUSTIN, Texas -- The Class 4A Boys' State Golf Tournament wrapped up Tuesday at the Onion Creek Country Club. Huntsville's Chandler Phillips was stroke out of the lead going into the final round and fires a 1 under 69. Chandler finishes tied for 4th overall.
Highland Park's Scottie Scheffler won the medalist crown. Rudder's Jonathan Vasquez finished tied for 18th.
Highland Park "Blue" won the team title with a 560. Cedar Park came in second with a 585. Huntsville finished 11th with a 616 while Montgomery was 12th with a 629.
On the girls' side in Class 4A Huntsville's Hannah Valentine shoots a 36 hole total of 20 over par tying for 24th. The Lady Hornets were lead by Courtney Tibiletti who fired a two day total of 152 which was 12 over par and tied for 13th.
Northwest Nelson won the state title with a 621. Montgomery came in second with a 625. The Lady Bears were paced by Kallie Gonzales who fired a two round total of 149 and finished tied for 8th.
Cedar Park was a distant third with a gold with a two day total of by 4 strokes over Montgomery... Cedar Park was a distant 3rd with a 646. Huntsville came in 5th with a 659 - 38 strokes back.
