COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Texas A&M Soccer sophomore forward Annie Kunz was named SEC Offensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday.

It marked the second consecutive week that an Aggie was tabbed the league’s top offensive player following Allie Bailey’s honor last Monday.

Kunz sparked the Aggies to a 3-0 win over No. 16 Long Beach State on Friday night as she came off the bench to score a pair of goals. She tallied the first goal of the game in the 31st minute of action and tacked on an insurance goal in the second half. Despite not scoring a goal in Sunday’s match against Central Michigan, she applied pressure throughout the contest with five shots, including three shots on goal.

The Golden, Colo.-native has appeared in seven games for the Aggies, including two starts. She is tied for the team’s scoring lead with four goals and eight points. She also boasts a team-high two game-winning goals and leads the squad in shots (26) and shots on goal (11).

The Aggies (6-1-0) make the trek to Baton Rouge Friday to make their SEC debut with a 7 p.m. match against the LSU Tigers.
