Lady Cougar Soccer beats Navasota 9-0

The Lady Cougar Soccer Team improved to 6-0 in the district and 12-3 overall with a 9-0 victory over the Navasota Rattlers Friday night in Navasota.

Five minutes into the match, Lauren Spohn scored off an assist from Lexi Bullard. Jaylen Hinckley scored the second goal of the match when she beat the goalie to the far post. Sasha Poltoratski made the score 3-0, with Bullard picking up her second assist. The Cougs scored again when Emily Guerrieri found the back of the net to make the score 4-0 at the half. Hinckley scored the next two Cougar goals to give her a hat trick on the night, her second of the season. Lauren Spohn and Steele Fancher had the assists. Lexi Bullard had two second half goals and Guerrieri scored her second on the night to finish the scoring.

In the JV game to Cougars defeated the Rattlers 6-1 to improve to 6-0 in district. Goals were scored by Megan Fowler (4), Morgan Calhoun, and Sabrina Burns.

Next action for the Cougs will be Tuesday against Rudder. JV at 5:00 and the varsity at 7:00.
