Lady Vikes Turn Around Play Saturday for Two Wins

MISSOURI CITY, Texas -- The Lady Vikes took tough losses Friday, but finished out the tournament strong with two wins Saturday from stout defense and clutch offensive plays.

Clear Falls
Friday, Clear Falls defeated Bryan 6-3. Rebecca Peirce took the mound while Audriana Andrade and Ally Bessette split time behind the dish; Peirce took the loss.

Ashleigh Perez went 1 for 3, with a solo homer, 2 RBIs, and a run. Desiray Sauseda went 3 for 3 at the plate.

Flower Mound
Flower Mound took no prisoners Friday evening as they took down Bryan 10-2.

Brianna Salinas was in the circle for the Vikings and recorded the loss. Ashleigh Perez and Desiray Sauseda stayed hot offensively for Bryan. Perez was 1 for 3, 2-run home run, and Sauseda went 3 for 3, scoring a run.

Saturday, Bryan took out their aggression from Friday's games.

Alvin Manvel

Bryan capitalized on their opponent's mistakes, taking a 7-6 win over Alvin Manvel.

Rebecca Peirce, Brianna Salinas, Ally Bessette, and Audriana Andrade collectively represented the battery, and Freshman Salinas got her first career W.

Anissa Hernandez went 1 for 1 at the plate with an RBI and scoring a run.
Morgan Chavarria was 1 for 2, with 2 RBIs and scoring a run. With one out left for The Vikes and Taylor Curtis at 3rd, Andrade hit a ground ball to 3rd, and the 3rd baseman commits a throwing error allowing Curtis to score for the game winning run.

Ft. Bend Clements
Bryan rallied late in the game for a come-from-behind win to beat Ft. Bend Clements 4-3.

Peirce and Salinas split the mound and Bessette was the battery mate. Salinas recorded her second career victory with the win.

Perez crushed a 3-run home run in the bottom of the 4th to tie it up at three a-piece. Later, a bunt single from Anissa Hernandez scored Andrade from 3rd for the game-winning run.

Now 10-8, the Lady Vikes will play at Conroe on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
