COLLEGE STATION, TX -- The Lufkin Panthers got 23 points from Kassie Jones and 12 from Ebonie Williams as they topped A&M Consolidated 50-34.
The Lady Tigers were down 31-20 in the third quarter when they started to mount a comeback. Torri Carraway came up with a interception and converted on the fast break to reduce the Panthers' lead to 9.
Alexie Oaks lead Consol with 8 points, while Beth Ashley added 7, but the Lady Tigers would not threaten Lufkin's lead in the final three minutes.
A&M Consolidated will be on the road Friday as they travel to The Woodlands to take on the Highlanders. Tip-off is set for 7pm.
