Lufkin boys beat Bryan 65-59

BRYAN -- Lufkin trailed Bryan after three quarters, but turned it on in the fourth and pulled out a 65-59 win in 14-5A play.

The Vikings by two at the half and by one after three but could not hold on to pick up the win.

A.J. Lawson led Bryan with 20 points. Quaylon Newton added 16 and A.J. Pulliam chipped in 13.

Dominique Shaw led Lufkin with 24 points.

The Vikings fall to 12-7 overall, 2-2 in district play and will resume action Friday at The Woodlands.
