Bryan, Texas - Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel is spending the weekend at the Manning Passing Academy at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Manziel is working as a counselor.
It is not the first time Manziel has been at the camp. He took part in the passing academy when he was in high school. Now he has gone from a camper to a counselor which Manziel says he has always wanted to do. "Getting the chance to start last year, even when I got the starting job I thought it would be cool that I would get to come to this regardless of anything that happened during the season last year so I am just really honored to be back as a counselor."
The Manning Passing Academy will wrap up on Sunday. Manziel will be part of the group representing Texas A&M at SEC Media Days on Wednesday in Hoover, Alabama. Manziel will then fly to Los Angeles for The ESPY Awards Wednesday night. He is nominated for two ESPYs. The Aggie football team is nominated for Best Upset for their win over Alabama last season.
