McCloud's 18 leads North past South

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) Jalan McCloud scored 18 points to lead five North All-Stars in double digits in a runaway 111-86 win over the South in the Texas High School Coaches Association Basketball All-Star game.

Oklahoma State commitments Leyton Hammonds and Jeffrey Carroll scored 17 and 16 points, respectively, for the North. Wichita Falls Hirschi grad and Kansas State recruit Marcus Foster scored 17 points.

Texas State recruit Kavin Tilbury tallied 13 points and 11 rebounds to earn the South's Most Valuable Player citation. Da'Shawn Robinson led the South with 17 points.

McCloud, who has committed to Blinn College, was the North's MVP. The 6-foot North Crowley graduate led the North with four steals, as the victors owned a 25-3 advantage in points off turnovers.
