BRYAN, TX -- Miramont Country Club Assistant Golf Professional Clay Wonnell, won the South Texas PGA Tournament hosted at Miramont on Wednesday thanks to a final round 3 under par 69.
The victory qualifies Clay to play in next year's Valero Texas Open, as well as in the PGA National Championship next summer.
Clay won't be the only representative from Miramont to qualify for the PGA National Championship. Brad Lardon the club's Director of Golf, placed 7th in the tournament and also qualified for the PGA National Championship.
Miramont is the only golf club in the State of Texas to have two golfers qualify from the same club to play in the PGA National Championship tournament.
