Mumford Headed Back to State Title Game

AUSTIN, Texas -- The Mumford boys' basketball team beat San Augustine Friday 86-63 in the Class A Division 1 State Semifinals. Aubrie King and LaKenric Hyson each scored 20 points. Josh Sustaita added 19 points for the Mustangs. Dion Mack finished with 14 points.

Mumford will face Dallas Triple A Academy in the State Title game Saturday morning at 8:30am at the Erwin Center in Austin. The Stallions beat El Paso Harmony Science Academy 90-50 to advance to the State Championship game.

Mumford is back in the title game for the second straight season. The Mustangs lost to Clarksville last year 65-47 in the Class A Division 1 championship game. Triple A Academy is making their first appearance at the State Tournament
