LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - New Mexico coach Bob Davie knows his Lobos are facing a red-hot Texas Tech offense Saturday night.

Red Raiders quarterback Seth Doege threw for five touchdowns and 319 yards in a 58-10 win at Texas State last week. Twelve receivers caught passes and Texas Tech added 186 yards rushing.

Davie, in his first year at New Mexico, is no stranger to the passing versatility of the Red Raiders and their schemes, having watched their pass-happy offense as a TV football analyst.

He's also faced the Red Raiders (2-0) as a defensive coach for eight years at Texas A&M.

New Mexico (1-1) will probably start true freshman Cole Gautsche at quarterback. Starter B.R. Holbrook has injured ribs.
