COLLEGE STATION The No. 17 Texas A&M’s women’s basketball team returns to the court on Thursday, January 23 to take on the Missouri Tigers in Columbia, Mo. at 7 p.m.
The game is available live streamed on a computer via the Mizzou Network, but requires a subscription through the Missouri Athletic Department. Fans can also listen in on Texas A&M Sports Network, as Bret Dark and Steve Miller call the action. The game is broadcast on KZNE 1150 AM in Bryan-College Station, and also can be heard on AggieAthletics.com.
The Aggies have won eight straight games, including all five games in SEC play, putting the Aggies in first place in the Southeastern Conference standings. In addition, Texas A&M has won 10 straight games against Missouri and has won all 10 of its home games this season.
During the eight-game winning streak, Texas A&M has been paced by Courtney Williams and Jordan Jones. Williams leads the Aggies’ scoring charge, scoring 18.3 points per game during the streak. Jones, who was named to the Nancy Lieberman Award Watch List, has facilitated the offense to the tune of 7.6 assists per game in that span, and has scored 8.6 points per game herself.
Missouri enters the game on a two-game losing streak after starting the season 13-3. The Tigers average 10.1 3-pointers per game, the second-highest mark in the country, and are up against A&M’s second-ranked 3-point field goal defense in this game.
Missouri also boasts the SEC’s leading scorer in league play, Bri Kulas, who is scoring 25.0 points per game since SEC play started.
After this game, Texas A&M returns home for the historic first visit of the No. 11 Tennessee Lady Vols to College Station on Sunday, January 26 at 3 p.m., a game broadcast by ESPN2.
