GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) - No. 23 Florida will be without long-snapper Drew Ferris for the team's Southeastern Conference opener Saturday at Texas A&M.

Ferris broke his collarbone in the season opener against Bowling Green.

Redshirt freshman Kyle Crofoot will take over long-snapping duties against the Aggies. Crofoot is the youngest of five brothers who have played in the SEC as holders, kickers or snappers. John Crofoot is a backup place-kicker at Florida. Ike Crofoot was a long-snapper at South Carolina (2003-06), Chas Crofoot was a long-snapper at Auburn (2004-05) and Clayton Crofoot was a holder at Auburn (2008-09).

The Gators also will be without backup offensive tackle Matt Patchan, who is recovering from a pectoral injury.
