NAVASOTA, Texas -- Top ranked Navasota wrapped up a perfect regular season with a 52-0 win over Taylor Friday.
Austin Collins had two first quarter interceptions, one he returned for a touchdown, and two TD catches to help the Rattlers jump out to a 38-0 halftime lead.
Kadarius Baker and Solomon McGinty also hooked up on three scoring plays. Baker threw five touchdown passes as he and 19 Rattler seniors went out with a bang in their final game in the Snake Pit.
Navasota claims their third straight outright district title and outscored their 18-3A opponents 181-0.
The Rattler defense only gave up 43 points all season.
Navasota is playoff bound and will face China Spring in the 3A Division II bracket Thursday at 7 p.m. at Merrill Green Stadium in Bryan.
Taylor is the 18-3A Division I representative and will face La Vega..
