PORT NECHES-GROVES -- The Rudder Rangers Boys Soccer team went 3-1 this weekend at the Port Neches-Groves Invitational Showcase. The Rangers were 1-1 against the two 5A schools they faced, defeating Beaumont Westbrook and losing a nail-biter to Channelview.

Eleazar Hernandez had five goals throughout tournament play, while Adan Guerrero had four goals and an assist.
Ismael Melendez had two goals, while Roberto Sifuentes and Cristian Cuevas each had a goal and an assist. Daniel Mosqueda and Diego DeHoyos each had two assists and Eduardo Lugo had one assist as well.
Senior Captain Eleazar Hernandez and Freshman Standout Adan Guerrero made the All-Tournament Team. Ryan Hammond and Xavier Judy combined on the Scarborough shutout.
The Rangers will play Montgomery at Merrill Green Stadium at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. for JV and Varsity respectively.
