BRYAN, Texas -- Huntsville dominated Tuesday night against the Rudder Rangers softball team. The game remained in reach for both teams until Huntsville scored 7 in the fourth inning.
Melanie Salvala went 2 for 3 on the evening with a homerun, a double, and three RBIs. Meghan Carpio went 2 for 3 as well with an RBI. Darby Jones went 2 for 3 at the plate, and Ashley Howard went 1 for 2.
Carli Holekamp pitched 5.2 innings for the home team, allowing only two earned runs. Rudder is now 0-2 in district play. The Rudder girls will travel to the Fort Bend/ Missouri City tournament this weekend with game times TBA.
