Justin Jackson, senior from Magnolia, has been named as Southland Conference baseball "Pitcher of the Week."
Jackson took a no-hitter into the ninth inning in the second game of a doubleheader Saturday at McNeese State, but gave up back-to-back one-out singles to break up the bid.

For the year, Jackson owns a 2.85 earned run average in 10 starts. He is holding opponents to a .227 batting average and as totaled 50 strike outs.
