Sam Houston's Shelby Hardy individual medalist at ORU

Tulsa, Okla. – Senior Shelby Hardy took individual medalist honors at the ORU Bob Hurley Shootout to tie a Sam Houston women’s golf school record that has stood since 2005.
Hardy fired a four-over total of 72-75-70—217 to finish three strokes ahead of Julie Aime of Lamar.
The championship was Hardy’s fourth individual title during her career. The only other Sam Houston women’s golfer to win four career championships was Raman Saran who played from 2002 to 2005.
Lamar won the team championship with a 905 final total. Host Oral Roberts was the team runner-up with a 929 total, followed by Sam Houston in third place with 932 strokes.
Southern Utah and McNeese tied for fourth with 938 totals, followed by Arkansas State 942, A&M-Corpus Christi 943, McLennan 948, Houston Baptist 950, UTEP 952, Drake 958, Stephen F. Austin 961 and Texas-Pan American 975.
Other Sam Houston scores and finishes were Nicole Budnik 23rd (77-79-80—236), Meghan Musk 28th (77-80-81—238), Jenna Stene (78-83-81—242) and Jessica Borth (81-82-87—250).
The Bearkats’ next action will be next Monday and Tuesday when the Sam Houston women host the Harold Funston Invitational at Raven Nest golf course.
