Sexton Taking Over At Anderson-Shiro as AD and Head Football Coach

ANDERSON, Texas -- The Anderson‐Shiro CISD Board of Trustees has named Andy Sexton as its a new Athletic Director and Head Football Coach as a Special Board Meeting Thursday night.

Sexton brings 22 years of coaching experience, including seven years as the head football coach and athletic coordinator at Magnolia High School in Magnolia, Texas.

According to Max Preps this was Sexton's record at Magnolia:

The University of Houston football alum also coached at several other Texas high schools including Deer Park High School - Deer Park ISD, Newman-Smith High School ‐ Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, Westfield High School - Spring ISD, And Mansfield High School - Mansfield ISD.

"I'm excited for myself to be at Anderson-­Shiro and excited for my family to be part of the Anderson-­Shiro school and the community,” said Sexton.

Diana Branch, Junior-­‐Senior High Principal said, “I am happy to welcome Andy Sexton to our Anderson-Shiro Junior/Senior High campus. I am looking forward to working alongside of him as we continue down a path of excellence here at Anderson-Shiro Jr./Sr. High.”

ASCISD President of the Board of Trustees, Melissa Vezurk, said "The Board is excited to have Mr. Sexton on board at Anderson-Shiro. We feel his experience and coaching philosophy will be a true asset to our athletic programs. We Welcome Coach Sexton and his family to Anderson-Shiro”
