Shelton Gets 500th Victory in Franklin Playoff Win

BUFFALO, Texas -- The Franklin Lady Lions beat the Corsicana Mildred Lady Eagles 83-56 Tuesday night in a Class 2A Bi-District playoff game. It was the 500th career win for Franklin head coach John Shelton. He left Rudder to become the head coach at Franklin. Shelton also coached at Bryan, Princeton, Grapeland and led Buffalo to the 2002 Class 2A State Title.

Regan Blajeski led the Lady Lions in scoring with 20 points. Carrie Casey added 19 points. Kyla Walker scored 17 points. Shelby Mullinix finished with 14 points.

Franklin will face Crawford in the area round of the playoffs.
