Justin Smoak homered in the eighth and drove in a run in the ninth to lead the Seattle Mariners to an 8-6 win over the Texas Rangers on Saturday night.
Smoak had three hits, two runs and three RBIs.
Seattle built a 6-0 lead in the first three innings before Texas rallied to tie the game.
Lucas Luetge (2-1) got two outs for the victory while Tom Wilhelmsen got the final four outs for his 27th save in 30 chances.
Tanner Scheppers (1-1) took the loss.
