SNOOK, Texas -- Over the weekend, the Snook Junior Girls Little Dribbler Basketball Team played in the 2013 Continental National Little Dribbler Tournament in Levelland, Texas and fought their way out of the losers' bracket to win the championship.
The Snook Lady Jays won their first game against Nocona and then lost their second game to Martins Mill. At that point they went to the losers bracket. They then won games against Normangee, Nocona, Grapeland and ended in the championship game against Martins Mill.
The Lady Jays lead the entire game and went on to beat Martins Mill and win the tournament with 1st Place. There were 13 teams (Division 1A and 2A schools from around the State) in the tournament and our girls won the whole tournament.
Additionally, this is the furthest any Snook Little Dribbler team has ever gone in the National Little Dribbler Tournament.
These 9 girls worked very hard and the coaches, parents, and community of Snook are so proud of them.
The team consist of 9 players in the 3rd and 4th grade at Snook ISD.
