SNOOK, Texas -- The Snook boys basketball team posted a 62-43 win over Somerville Friday night at Bluejay Gym to keep their playoff hopes alive. Snook travels to Burton on Tuesday night and needs a win to clinch a playoff spot. If the Panthers pick up the victory on Tuesday, then the Bluejays and Panthers will play again on Friday for the District's final playoff spot.
Snook (13-19) got 19 points each from Keenan Brooks and Cody Deavers, while James Benton tossed in 16 for the Yeguas.
Snook took a 21-15 lead in the first quarter. The Bluejays extended it to a 7 point advantage at the half. In the 3rd quarter, Snook extended their lead to 10. The home team jumped on the visitors early in the 4th quarter and never looked back posting a 62-43 win.
