Sam Houston State senior cornerback Dax Swanson will play in the Texas vs. the Nation Collegiate All-Star Game Feb. 2 in Allen, Texas. The game will be televised on Fox Sports Southwest.

Swanson owns the Sam Houston school record for most career interceptions with 14. The Waco, Texas product also set the Sam Houston single-season record for interceptions in a season with eight in 2011.

Swanson's record-breaking play may have been his most important pick as the play stopped a late Eastern Washington drive with 5:33 remaining in the FCS semifinals. The record-tying interception came on a pass from Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel in the Texas A&M game.

The Texas vs. The Nation Game pits top collegiate players originally from Texas or who play college football in Texas against top players from around the nation. The game was first played in 2007.

Kick-off is set for 1:30 p.m., central time.
